Owning the visual side of an event
I've designed brands, websites, and campaigns. But being the person responsible for how an entire event looks and feels is something else, and it's one of the most beautiful and challenging things that has happened to me.
Every detail speaks before anyone steps on stage: the posters, the social media, the emails, the way a speaker is introduced. All of it needs to feel like one experience, and I get to build that.
What is LIVE2LEAD?
LIVE2LEAD is a leadership conference hosted by Ana Sasmiresan, founder of Transformation Through Conversations. It started in Pompano Beach in 2023 and has grown every year. This year it moves to Fort Lauderdale with a Business Leaders Track and a Youth Leadership Track, which brings students into the room with the leaders of tomorrow in mind.
What to expect on October 28
- A full day of leadership content with keynote speakers, a CEO panel on the theme "Change Is Personal First," and emerging speakers.
- A youth track built for the entrepreneurs of tomorrow, with an entrepreneurial mentorship panel.
- Partners and community: the Levan Center at NSU as platinum sponsor, plus local business partners and the Fort Lauderdale Chamber.
- Speakers from companies like Chick-fil-A, Weedoo Boats, and Detect, with Sam Ghanem as emcee.
How we prepared
We started preparing a few months ago. In that time we've worked on:
- A consistent visual look across every touchpoint.
- Social media on Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
- Ads and email campaigns to bring the right people into the room.
- Weekly content featuring speakers, mentors, and sponsors.
The final stretch
We're in the home stretch now, with a lot of work, a lot of heart, and one big wish: that everything goes perfectly and the room is full of leaders ready to grow.
