Some projects are work. And some projects change you a little.

This one was my first book. I'm still a bit emotional writing that. 💛

The idea that hooked me

Ana's book starts from a simple, bold idea. Disagreement isn't a problem to bury. It's information. Leaders who know how to listen, and who stay in the tension instead of running from it, build teams that speak up, think critically, and grow.

The book is built in three parts: how to read disagreement as data, how to lead through dissent with real listening, and how to turn that tension into results. Ana calls the practice the wedge of disagreement, and she backs it with her experience as an executive leader, speaker, and coach.

What I did

I worked on posters and some interior graphics for the book and its launch. The brief was to make a serious idea feel inviting. Leadership content can feel heavy, and I wanted it to feel clear, confident, and human.

What this experience was like

Honestly? Beautiful. Extreme. And full of lessons.

It was intense, and it made Ana and me closer. We learned how to work through hard moments together, which is a little funny given the topic of the book. Ana trusted me with something deeply personal, and I don't take that lightly.

Thank you, Ana, for trusting me with your first book. I'm so grateful. 🙏

What I took away as a designer

  • A good brand makes a big idea easy to enter.
  • Working through tension openly makes the final result stronger.
  • Trust between client and designer is the real foundation of any project.
